Watercolor Love

Our last creativity prompt was oil & water, which turned into a messy, but very fun art project with Callan. (The step-by-step instructions and photos of his artwork are on McMama Says – via the first link in the hop.)

Because his project turned out so well (and he’s not even 2!), I thought I’d give it a try myself later in the week. So one night after the babies were asleep, I mixed up food coloring and oil and then dyed my fingers all sorts of funny colors. Colored hands aside, I got some rather pretty pieces of pink paper, just perfect for Valentine’s Day. They looked like beautiful scrapbook papers, and I really wanted to participate in this month’s blog train with Pixel Scrapper (the theme is “Be Mine”), so I scanned in the papers and used them as the foundation of this kit:

The kit includes 3 papers, 6 journal cards, 3 heart elements, 1 paint overlay, and 1 photo mask. Just click on the image to go to the download.

There are a couple dozen other designers participating in this train as well, with some gorgeous kits – all free to download this month! You can view the full list of participants here.

This is so soft and wonderfully filled with artsy papers and element. Lovely use of watercolors. Thank you for this addition to Be Mine. It will be used. Blessings. :)
