You see me. You who know me so well. One look, one glance, through the barriers, the façade, the everyday smile and “life is great.” And life is great. It’s beautiful. But even amidst the beauty are pieces of rubble. Bits of crumbled wall, small scars from thorns that tore as roses blossomed. Dewdrops of sadness. They linger there among the beautiful. But you see them. You who know me so well. You see my soul. The lovely and the unlovely. And you love me anyway.

This is so beautiful and truthful. He loves us anyway. So thankful for that truth.
