I bought the cute red mailboxes at the target dollar spot and some valentine’s day stickers. My kids each decorated their mailbox and for 7 days leading up to Valentine’s Day I leave them a small treat in their mailbox (like heart shaped erasers, red bouncy balls, stickers, candy, ect.)and then they get something a little bigger on Valentine’s Day for being my little sweethearts!
What an adorably fun idea! I’ll have to keep this in mind for the future.
How fun
We’ll be making Valentines for both Grandmas as well as Daddy
How sweet.
Y’all will have some happy grandmas (and daddy!).
Every year I make big heart shaped sugar cookies for my son and husband. I write their names on it and put little candies on it. My Mom always did that for us and I have continued the tradition. I also give my son a Valentine’s Day book each year and a romantic movie to my husband.
Oooh, now I want sugar cookies!
I will have little gifts for my children and make a cheesecake for my husband!!
Any excuse for cheesecake is a good excuse.
My favorite Valentine is one that my son made for me in preschool. This year, I want to make a Valentine for his son!
Oh, how sweet. You should frame that Valentine and display it each year.
I will be giving a valentine to my boyfriend this year!
My fave valentines are the ones my boys make for me
We save up glass jars all year long to keep our valentines sweets in! We decorate the glass jar and fill up for a one of a kind gift!
That sounds like a fun (and tasty) tradition.
Sad to say that I have never had a Valentine but my mom is nice enough to buy me a box of chocolates so I don’t feel left out
What a great mom!
My favorite valentines are the ones my kids make me every year. They try so hard to make me smile and they always do
I’ll be making valentines for them
What sweet little ones.
Nice few hours out without the kids. Maybe we will even try a new restaurant.
That sounds like a great date night.
Valentines Day is pretty low-key at our house. The kids and I make V-Day Sugar Cookies and then I make a nice dinner for the hubs. Nothing much but we love our little tradition. =)
Another sugar cookie tradition – I think I may have to make some now!
My husband is my Valentine and I just got a free one from tiny prints so I wont be making one this year.
One of these days I’m going to try out Tiny Prints. I hear they have really great quality. Good for you for being so prepared!
This year my kids and I will be making Secret Valentines projects and cards for our family and sending them to them. Then on Valentine’s Day they will get a card revealing that we were their secret Valentine.
That’s such an awesome project! I love secret pals.
We make homemade valentine’s for friends and family
Homemade valentines are the best.
My 4 year old son is my favorite valentine. We will be making heart shaped cookies together!
That sounds like a fun activity to do together.
My Valentine will be my hubby, we got engaged on Valentine’s Day 1987 he took me to the Queen Mary and did it right on the dance floor, so romantic. Then he rented a bus bench and had a heart on it with our names and “I Love You” he has always done something special for me all these years. This year we are going out to one of our favorite restaurants for a romantic dinner on the ocean.
I am making him a homemade Valentine and giving him a chocolate peanut butter heart [his favorite]
Ooh, how romantic. He really went all out!
My favorite valentine is my husband. He is an amazing person, my best friend and a heck of a father. I know everyone thinks they married prince charming but in my case I know I did!! This year I’ve made many valentine’s crafts and I’ll be making his gift using the words to some of our favorite love songs
Aimee, that sounds like such a thoughtful gift. Will you be blogging about it?
I will spend Valentines with my daughter. Going to take her to a Pinkalicious Valentine Party and to dance class and out to dinner. She is my Valentine.
What a nice mother/daughter date.
My favorite valentine day would be going out to eat, kidless, to a fancy restaurant and my husband giving me diamond earrings…haha.
I am in a card making group. We each make a set of more than a dozen identical cards and then trade with other group members. The theme for January was Valentines Day, love or friendship. So now we all have a nice assortment of cards to send others. We also donate cards to a local nursing home each month so they can send cards even if they can’t go out and shop for them.
I haven’t even begun to think of Valentine’s day. I’ve been so busy, but I need to. I teach K-3 special ed and I have to come up with some good ideas for the class.
I have three Valentines, my husband John, son Johnny and son Josh! Will be spending the day with theM!
I`ll be giving valentines to my hubby & my 2 kids!
