I love the look of chalkboards used in unexpected ways, the contrast of the crisp white chalk against the black “board.” Framing a chalkboard is one of my favorite display ideas, especially when the selected frame is elegant or ornate.

I also like the idea of painting an entire wall with chalkboard paint.

Emily, of Jones Design Company, painted one wall of her office with chalkboard paint, and then painted a Scripture verse across the top as a border. Beautiful!

This chalkboard wall was used as a background in last year’s “Autumn in Session” Lookbook from Ruche. I love the chalk frame on the wall – what a neat idea!

Now if only I didn’t mind chalk!
